I’m still having trouble wrapping my head around the whole concept of a sex doll mom. A few months ago, I was at a store with a friend who had just received one for her son. It was a mommy-shaped, silicone doll with large, inviting eyes and full-bodied curves. When I first saw it, I thought it was a joke, but it quickly became clear that my friend was serious. I couldn’t help but feel a little uneasy at the sight of it.

The thing is, I’d never thought of my friend as the type to give her son a sex toy. She and her husband had always been quite traditional, so I couldn’t even begin to imagine why they’d bought a doll like that. Sure, sex dolls have been around for vibrators a while, but a mommy-shaped one seemed a little too “out there” for them.

When I asked my friend about it, she told me that it was a teaching tool. She said that her son was a little bit introverted and that she wanted him to learn about sex, but in a safe way. She thought that a sex doll mom would be a great way to help him understand and appreciate the physical act of sex without actually having to experience it.

The idea made a lot of sense to me, but I still couldn’t help but feel a bit icky about it. I mean, it just seemed so… strange. I couldn’t help but picture a little kid playing with a doll and thinking it was a real mom. It just made me really uncomfortable.

At first, my friend and her family were really excited about the idea. They thought it was a great way to open up conversations around sex in a safe and comfortable environment. But, as time went on, they started to notice that their son wasn’t really responding very well to the doll. He seemed to be attached to it, but he wasn’t really talking about it at all. And, that’s when they started to get worried.

They decided to take the doll away and started looking into resources about how to talk to their son about sex. Today, my friend’s son is much better informed about healthy sexual relationships. And, she has come to view the sex doll mom as a learning tool, one that wasn’t quite up to the job of teaching her son what he needed to learn.

I still have a lot of thoughts and vibrators questions about sex doll moms. Is it really possible for a doll to teach children about sex? Is it appropriate for parents to introduce such a tool in their children’s lives? All these questions made me think about my own children and how I’d approach talking about sex with them. In the end, all I can say is that I hope they never feel the need to purchase a sex doll mom.
